Midwinter Christmas menu – Sunday 5 and Sunday 15 July, 2020

The fires will be lit and the halls will be decked! Sip a complimentary mulled wine on arrival and be shown to your beautiful festive table to prepare for all the yummy wintry Christmas charm for which The Loch is famous.

Enjoy our three course, set Christmas menu, including a luscious tasting board for starters, your choice of four sumptuous mains and one of two mouth watering desserts.

NB: guests attending our 11:30am sitting must be finished by 1:30pm.

Midwinter Christmas | 3-course set menu


Tasting plate

  • Silver perch ceviche in Loch lettuce cups with river mint & native lime pearls; cauliflower cheese soup, chorizo crumbs with cheddar and walnut crisps; accompanied by two dips from the garden, two farm pickles and meats

Mains (choose one)

  • Roast turkey stuffed with traditional sage and onion and crust, topped with cranberry relish and all the trimmings of roast veggies
  • Fillet of venison with baby baked crab apples served with potato rostis (GF)
  • Slow roasted shoulder of pork with Bramley apple and sage sauce and pumpkin and potato gallette (GF)
  • Pumpkin and rosemary bake served on warm Russian red cabbage spiced salad topped with potato crisps

Sides

  • Roast beetroot and watercress salad with pickled brussel sprouts, pomegranate seeds and molasses

Dessert (choose one)

  • Chocolate Yule Log with braised cherries and eggnog custard
  • Mulled wine and blood orange jellies with mint pavlova and spiced cream

Children’s menu

  • Mini roast turkey dinner

$75 per person. Vegan options available by prior arrangement
