Berrima – Historic Heart of the Highlands
The historic heart of the Southern Highlands, Berrima village was settled in the 1830s. Among sites of national significance, it is the most well-preserved of the Georgian period towns in mainland Australia.
A walk around the village is well worthwhile to immerse in the folklore of its beautiful old sandstone buildings and monuments such as Berrima Courthouse Museum, Harpers Mansion and Old Berrima Gaol.
