A New Tea Room

When on holidays we try to leave work behind but everywhere you turn there are great small producers doing amazing things. This holiday season New Zealand and Tasmania both delivered on food and wine.

While in Tasmania doing some consulting work, Brigid was influenced by concepts she was putting together for a friends’ new business that included country high teas.  As our boutique barn enjoys a beautiful view out over the property she concluded it would be a great place to host high teas of her own.

Country areas and high tea have always gone hand in hand, so we have decided to roll up our sleeves and host the first of our high teas for Mother’s Day. This is by far one of the most popular days at The Loch and having a three-course set menu available in the Tasting Room and high teas in the barn means we won’t have to turn anyone away.

In true paddock to plate style we will still use produce from the farm and local suppliers to create our delicate finger sandwiches and sweet treats. Tickets sales will open closer to the date.
